Among the flood victims of Khagrachari World Care Foundation Relief Distribution

World Care Foundation has provided relief to 200 flood-affected families in the mountainous Khagrachari district. On Friday, August 30, 2024 at noon, the leaders of World Care Foundation and local elders handed over the goods to the flood victims in a simple ceremony on the ground of Gamadhi Dhalla Government Primary School in Khagrachari.

Rice, sugar, salt, oil, onion and pulses are added to the relief package provided to the Hilli & Bengali families in the relief package for each family.

Under the leadership of Rangamati district social activist and expatriate Salim Haider, Haseeb Haider, Waliul Islam, Jasim Uddin, Nazrul Islam, school headmaster Shibli Shanti Chakma, Perachara High School teachers Layes Dewan and Nirpen Chakma were present during the relief distribution. Karunamay Chakma acted as the coordinator.

At this time, social worker Salim Haider said that the suffering of those who have suffered in the sudden disaster is indescribable. We have taken a small effort to stand by these flood victims for purely humanitarian reasons. We think that all able-bodied people should come forward for rescue. He assured that the World Care Foundation will stand by the victims of any calamity in the mountainous areas in the coming days as well.
